TonTon Massage at The Fort

After much recommendation from le boyfriend, we finally got to try TonTon Authentic Thai Massage together at The Fort. It's a very short walk from my office in BGC. Despite its high end location, the price is surprisingly affordable. The 1-hr whole body massage is at P350 and you could choose to have back or foot massage only for the same duration and price. That's usually the discounted price for those not-so-popular massage havens in online coupon sites already, and yet it's just TonTon's original rate.

Photos from their official FB

(The entire area was so dark that it would make no sense to take photos from my phone) Just like in another Thai massage parlor in Makati called Nuat Thai (P250 per hour), the intro of the whole session was a couple of minutes spent in soaking feet in warm water. Sabi ni boyfriend it might contain something else aside from water since iba yung dulas na pakiramdam once dried na ang feet. Anyway, after that, the massage starts.

We waited for almost 30 minutes to be entertained since TonTon at that time was jam-packed according to the receptionist--pero waley namang ibang customer sa lobby/waiting area (?) O edi ayun. The massage started sa feet and it was bitin. Thing is, naisip ko when you're nabibitin it means it's masarap. You won't bother saying it's bitin kung di mo naman trip diba. So ayun, masarap yung massage sa paa.

Btw since it's a Thai massage, there is no oil applied. Purely pressure points ang drama nito. Hence, hindi kailangang mag-bold. lol. They will give you panjamas and a blouse to use for the whole duration of the massage. It's the same thing for Nuat Thai, which is beside Blue Water Spa (hopefully my next target). The whole experience was lovely, except for a few secs when "ate" was too hard on my butt. Tinamad na akong sabihan sya kasi feel na feel ko ang serene background music at aroma. The entire spa is also way better than the one in Nuat Thai, most likely because the Sapphire condo itself is very much new. Malinis pa in general, kumbaga.

I am not sure with other TonTon branches since this is my first try with their service. Mga three weeks ago le boyfriend and I attempted to have a massage in TonTon Makati (kahilera ng Nuat Thai at Blue Water Spa) but it closed down that day itself na dumating kami sabi nung guard.

Bottom line: I am coming back, provided I am within the area of BGC. Otherwise, I'd still opt to check out other spas :) Para din may ma-blog akong iba. Haha. But what's cool about TonTon is that yung price nya is very cheap yet you are sure to receive quality service. There's too many spas joining voucher sites these days and some are nakakatakot i-try. Either too good to be  true yung price at magtataka ka na bakit parang giveaway yung presyo, or wala halos reviews online.

  1. Di natuwa mom ko sa Blue Water Spa. Mahal, maingay sa loob (parang salon -- nag-uusap yung customer and yung masseuse and may TV on full blast), and hindi relaxing experience, overall. After your foot massage, papatayuin ka pa to go to another room for your full body massage naman. Something like that. HAHA.

And lol at this: "Btw since it's a Thai massage, there is no oil applied. Purely pressure points ang drama nito. Hence, hindi kailangang mag-bold. lol."

Casa Roces Restaurant

Ode to Quezon How does dining like a president sound to you? When I first learned that I’m about to experience such a unique food trip, it seemed that my taste buds couldn’t wait a day more.  Forget the continental breakfast.  I’m about to have a presidential breakfast. It all started with a simple online search that led me to the Facebook page of the MalacaƱang Food and Heritage Tours.   As the name suggests, the tour package consists of a guided tour inside the walls of the Philippines’ presidential residence as well as a gastronomic delight where one would be served the favorite breakfast meals of some of the past and current presidents of the country.  The package offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience at the posh Casa Roces Restaurant that stands just across the former MalacaƱang Press Office Building at the corner of JP Laurel and Aguado Streets. One can choose from the following breakfast sets:  Ilocandia Flair, Ilustrado Comfort...

Toastbox, my happiness in a box!

I've been eyeing this uber-cute resto ever since I started working in The Fort, Taguig. Reason was the interior including the comfort room looks like my dream bedroom and the photos of the foodah on the menu look so deliciously sinful. But given the interiors, I knew that that resto would require me to either withdraw a handsome amount of money at my ATM or wash the dishes in exchange for payment. I was wrong. Photo from their official Facebook Fan Page One fateful day, my officemates and I finally acknowledged the fact that we'll be forever craving about this Toastbox unless we give our curiosities a chance to taste it. Sweldo day ata yun kaya malalakas ang loob. O sya, upon entrance, we went directly to the cashier where the pictures of the foodah are placed on a poster above. I saw their noodles ranging from P180-P200++ so I immediately disregarded ordering one. Besides, I'm there for the TOAST. I asked "ate" in the counter about their bestseller toast b...
