Kebabers!

Pwede nang substitute sa Mr. Kebab (o Kabab?) sa bandang Trinoma. Haha! Seriously! Just for P39, solb na ang katawang lupa mo teh. I ordered Keema Meal. Ito yung P39. Others are about P59 each. Again, without drinks. Whichever you order, choose the spicy sauce to complete your Arabic experience.

Recipe Restaurant - Rob Ermita branch

Last week le family and I ate at my much-recommended resto, Recipe. May mga konting branches na rin ito around the metro but the one in Robinson's Place Ermita lang ang na-try ko na. The first time I ate there was almost a year ago and it was a wonderful gastronomic experience. Ang tanda ko noon, mura lang yung bill na binayaran ko. Mga P500 or less for three persons. We had 3 ulams if le memory is right. Oh well. Buti hindi ako ang taya this time. It ballooned to over P900 for four pax with just three ulams in place. Inflation drama? Chos. But everything still tasted remarkably well. The Bestseller: General's Chicken Gising-Gising What I surprised me the most: Daing Fillet As you might have noticed, halos ubos na yung mga foodang sa akin photos. Le me kasi nakalimutang piktyuran agad. And honestly, maliit ang servings nila. The Daing Fillet has a fried egg on top which surprisingly complements the teriyaki-tasting fish. And mind you, it's so easy to coo

Hershey's Dark Cappuccino Bar

Hope I could have unlimited supply of this. Naubos ko na. But caffeine is a no-no for me. :| Wala lang. Pino-post ko lang piktyur. Haha. Babaw.  :( Many salamats sa aming kapitbahay na nag-donate nito sa amin ng nanay ko. LOLOLOL.

TonTon Massage at The Fort

After much recommendation from le boyfriend, we finally got to try TonTon Authentic Thai Massage together at The Fort. It's a very short walk from my office in BGC. Despite its high end location, the price is surprisingly affordable. The 1-hr whole body massage is at P350 and you could choose to have back or foot massage only for the same duration and price. That's usually the discounted price for those not-so-popular massage havens in online coupon sites already, and yet it's just TonTon's original rate. Photos from their official FB   (The entire area was so dark that it would make no sense to take photos from my phone) Just like in another Thai massage parlor in Makati called Nuat Thai (P250 per hour), the intro of the whole session was a couple of minutes spent in soaking feet in warm water. Sabi ni boyfriend it might contain something else aside from water since iba yung dulas na pakiramdam once dried na ang feet. Anyway, after that, the massage starts.

Bellarocca and Malacanan Palace in Balikbayan Magazine!

This is actually a very late post but I'm happy to announce (naks) that the Dec-January 2012 issue of the Balikbayan Magazine is finally out in the market! The issue takes you to Marinduque's luxurious resort, Bellarocca, and lets you discover the inside of Malacanan Palace, among others. Get you copy in the country's major bookstores, hotels and resorts, fine dining restos, and in Duty Free! P.S. If you're a real friend, you will read my articles, especially the Malacanan Palace feature with le boyfriend as photographer. :P BTW, I've launched le boyfriend's photography blog, IceOverWater.blogspot.com. Photo lineup is way too incomplete, but at least we have something to develop already. Honestly, you could also view Balikbayan Magazine online: www.BalikbayanMagazine.com. Yes, it'll save you P150. :|

UST Reader's Cafe: I MISS :(

I'm missing a lot of things from UST. The flood, the profs, the stress, joke. ;P But I'm really missing the Reader's Cafe at the ground floor of the four-storey library. I'll do my best to be able to visit and dine there again. Thank goodness access is easy with the alumni card. I love Coffee Fantasy cake, BTS (Better-Than-Sex) cake, and Cappuccino Bar :( Oh, schedule, please cooperate. I vow to take pictures of each when schedule allows :( For the meantime, here's a photo from its official Facebook Fan Page. That's their ONLY photo there. Haha. The last time I tasted BTS cake was when le boyfriend bought one for me during my confinement at UST Hospital last November.

Hershey's Lip Balm

It's just crazy. Imagine a chocolate-flavored lip balm by Hershey's! I got this from my former office mate Sandie as a gift from the US. Hope they sell it here in Manila 'cause I bet isang buwan lang itatagal nito sa akin. Yummy :))         Once I'm done with this, I'll post photos of another lip balm gift I got from my current office mate, Kristine. Raspberry naman ang flavor. ;) Btw, I before Hershey's, my lip balm was Maybelline's Raspberry. It doesn't taste like it but it has a bit of color that helps my anemic lips. Just like my Maybelline lip balm, I put Hershey's on first before a lipstick (yehes, nagli-lipstick na ako ngayon!) as moisturizer. Chaka kasi if dry yung lips tapos lalagyan ng lipstick, either nagbubuo-buo or parang nagbabalat lang yung labi ko pero shiny pink yung balat, haha.  Another BTW: Forgive my poor photos. They're taken from my phone camera. Kapag may matinong photo sa blog na ito, it's either fr

Facial Express by Skin Station

It's been ages since I had my facial. I used to have it regularly in Forever Flawless since college, but my wild schedule at work no longer permits such luxurious time. Thank goodness le boyfriend gave me a high-end face mirror as gift last Christmas (talagang kailangang i-identify na high-end? Haha, OA kasi sa mahal e!). Ginamit ko yung "zoom technology" nung mirror na iyon kaninang umaga and lo and behold my black and whiteheads standing proud on my face. Nagsusumigaw at nagmamakaawa ang fez ko for a facial. I remembered the Skin Station clinic at most the topmost floor of Robinson Manila (Midtown) and opted to look at its price list. The prices are reasonable. Actually P50 cheaper to Flawless. FF's regular facial is P350 while Skin Station's is P300. I immediately phoned the clinic to reserve the 7:30pm slot this Friday. The very polite telephone operator confirmed my appointment and asked for my mobile number. Then she texted me at 7pm telling me that I

Teaser alert, teaserrr!
